Project 98-86 – North Branford, CT ![]() This project involved intersection capacity analysis of two major interconnected signalized intersections, lane configuration, storage length, design of traffic control system, and signal timing and coordination. Design entailed widening and reconstruction of 1.5 km of Route 80 and Route 22, two signalized intersections, complete storm drainage system, relocation of utilities, and multi-stage (four-stage) construction. Design of 446 m of reinforced concrete retaining walls utilizing form-liners, on pile foundations, with an average wall height of 5 m. Finite element analysis to establish strength of foundation and bracing requirements during construction. Construction cost: $6,500,000. |
