Beech Hill Road – Colebrook, CT
42-foot prestressed concrete deck units, one new RCC abutment at the west approach, widening of existing east abutment, and total horizontal and vertical realignment of approaches. GM2 was responsible for the initial bridge safety inspection, application process, design, and construction inspection of this bridge. GM2's constructability review and expert Construction Inspection services kept the project moving without delays. Of special concern was protecting the trout-stocked Sandy Brook. The GM2 design minimized impact to the waterway and the Inspection team closely monitored compliance to all permits. The Beech Hill Road Bridge was opened in the Spring of 2001, on schedule and budget. ![]() ![]() ‹- Previous Project | Bridge Engineering Overview | Next Project -› |
