About Us

Founded in 1988, GM2 traces its origins to its founder and President, Madan M. Gupta. Madan emigrated to the United States from India in 1970, having graduated from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology at Roorkee. Later, he finished at the top of his class at the University of Maine with a Masters in Civil Engineering. With more than 40 years of professional experience in all phases of design and construction, Madan has been called upon by local, state, and federal agencies to guide them on the development of cost-effective, intelligently designed roads and bridges.

From those humble beginnings in the basement of Madan's home in Glastonbury, Connecticut, GM2 has become a force in the Connecticut civil engineering market, with nearly 50 employees statewide and a complement of Professional Engineers that rivals the staffs of firms many times GM2's size.

GM2's engineers are licensed to practice all across New England, New York, New Jersey, and Florida. We maintain signficant in-house capabilities, ranging from complex seismic analysis to survey, construction inspection, bridge, hydraulics and drainage, bridge safety inspection, roadway, traffic, buildings and site engineering.
